These are "wiggle stereographs" that I created in our back yard during this year's annual snowstorm in Raleigh. I read about this method on Photojojo in the article Make Your Own 3D Camera for $15 or Less.

The basic idea is, you take two pictures of the same scene. Between the two shots, slide the camera to one side roughly 1/30th of the distance from the camera to the subject. (I moved about 2 feet, and my back fence is a little over 60 feet from the windows). Then using Photoshop, layer and animate the images so you can see the shift in perspective in a single frame without special glasses or tricks to cross your eyes.

This first shot was taken straight on. It turned out rather well.

This second shot I had the camera angled toward the corner when I shifted. The wiggle seems to be centered on the right side of the frame as a result... not quite the effect I was hoping for, but still effective.

Looking out my front door. These next two used my Nikon D90 and weren't taken through the windows.

Focused on a bent tree in the neighbors yard across the street.
