Kellie and I spent a week staying in a cabin outside Glacier National Park in northwest Montana, July 13-20, 2013. We bought local food and ate in our little house most mornings and evenings, and carried picnic lunches on our travels during the days. It was absolutely beautiful out there and we'd love to go back again.
The Cabin
We rented this cabin from Lori and Doug, a couple who lives in Kalispell Montana. Doug built the cabin as a family guest house, Lori decorated it, and they started renting it on VRBO last season. It was a wonderful place to stay. Perfect for the two of us, let us cook our meals, and really no more expensive than staying at a hotel. Probably much less since we didn't have to eat out.
