Week long trip to celebrate Kellie's 40th birthday at our favorite place - Walt Disney World.

Animal Kingdom - Sat Jan 22

We spent the first day wandering around with cameras rather than riding rides. New for us was our first visit to the Restaurantosauraus which is a suprisingly fun dig-site themed burger place. Our one and only "ride" of the day was to see the bird show.

DHS and Epcot - Sun Jan 23

Hollywood Studios was crazy busy so we didn't get to do very much. We did take Kellie's first ride of the Backlot Tour and her first lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In. Later that evening we headed over to Epcot to try the new water-side restaurant which was fantastic and offered a great view of Illuminations.

Sea World Penguins - Mon Jan 24

Our planned special day of the trip. For Kellie's 40th birthday I took her to Sea World and arranged to take the 1.5 hour backstage Penguin Encounter. They gave us a tour inside the facility and let us meet and touch some of the penguins and puffins. It was a wonderful experience.

Magic Kingdom Birthday - Wed Jan 26

Tuesday was a no camera day, but we met Cat Cora at her restaurant. Wednesdays was Kellie's big day. We started with breakfast at the Crystal Palace, a day at her favorite park, and dinner at Cat Cora's restaurant on the Boardwalk where we got to meet her a second time.

Hollywood Studios - Thu Jan 27

We started at rope drop to get ahead of the crowds. I ran back to get fastpasses for Toy Story Mania, then we spent three sessions in the animation class before it started to get full. We rode our ride and wandered with camera until Kellie decided she wanted to go back to the room to do some work. I stayed at the park for the new parade and to watch the street shows.

Epcot - Fri Jan 28

Our final day was at Epcot. We rushed to Soarin' then meandered around watching shows like the Jammitors, the French waiters, and the British street play. Lunch was in France to meet Remy and we saw the American show for the first time together.
