Our first week-long trip to Disney together, during the 2009 Holiday season. We spent more time wandering around the resorts and generally going very easy on the parks. We also spent one evening at Universal Citywalk to see the Blue Man Group, which was a phenomenal show.
Animal Kingdom
Our visit to the Animal Kingdom included the safari ride, bird show, and Lion King show. I also took walks through the self-guided animal tours in Africa and Asia for the first time in my 10+ visits to the park.
Bay Lake Tower
Disney's newest DVC resort, and our new timeshare. We bought a second contract last spring, before we had a chance to preview the new building. The resort is located next to the Contemporary, and within view of the Magic Kingdom. Our first visit to stay there is planned for Oct 2010.
Boardwalk Villas
We stayed at our favorite, home resort. Our room was "water view" at the end of the wing closest to the Swan hotel across the canal. Most of the photos are Epcot fireworks and Christmas decorations.
Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast
Kellie made a reservation for us to have breakfast with the Princesses in Cinderella's Castle. The time was early, well before the park opened.
Disney's Hollywood Studios
The main attraction at the Studios at Chrismastime is the Osborne Lights. We also had our first chance to ride the new Toy Story Mania ride.
Downtown Disney
We spent our first evening in DTD for dinner at Raglan Road. Later we met one of Kellie's work clients for dinner. I also snuck the one Blue Man Group photo into this batch, even though that show is at Universal.
Epcot
We had rainy days at Epcot this trip. We still managed to catch some of the Christmas-themed events.
Magic Kingdom
Our first visit was in the evening for Mickey's Christmas Party and special parade. We returned at the end of the week to have breakfast and spend the day catching rides.
Magic Kingdom Area Resorts
We rode the monorail loop one afternoon to look at all the Christmas decorations.
Port Orleans and Carribean Beach Resorts
Two of the resorts that we had to drive out to visit. This was our first visit to either of them. Very nice.
Photopass Portraits
We liked enough of our PhotoPass pictures that we bought the CD with the originals. While Disney retains copyright on them, we have rights to republish and reprint them for ourselves.
