Trip to Texas and Oklahoma, April 3-7, 2004

Arrived Saturday morning at DFW airport. Got our rental car, a red Saturn Vue, and headed toward Sulphur Springs Texas. Had lunch with Rae Lynn and Marty at Ta Molly's (very good stuff, and cheap!). Spent the afternoon at the apartment watching movies and generally relaxing.

Sunday we piled into the Saturn and drove to Dallas. Spent the morning at the farmer's market, and had lunch downtown as well. Drove back to the apartment and had dinner in. Snuck out late for an ice cream snack at Braums before bed.

Monday we packed up and headed to Tulsa. Had lunch in Paris, Texas at a Popeye's and arrived at the Embassy Suites in mid afternoon. We went over to Uncle Paul's place and chatted with him for a while before Erika came over with little Paul. We stayed until dinnertime, then headed over for dinner at Monterrey's. We stopped at Braums again so I could take a sundae back to the room.

Tuesday we had breakfast in the hotel and packed up. We went to Riverside tower to visit with Shelley's old co-workers. After that, we had lunch at a Bill and Ruth's sub shop, then went shopping for flowers. We went past Shelley's parent's old house and then to the cemetary to put the flowers on the graves. We made a quick stop at Charlie's Chicken for a travel pack of breast nuggets and headed out of town back to Dallas. We hit Dallas in rush hour traffic (ugh) and eventually made it to our Fairfield Inn near the airport. After settling in for a little, we headed back out to find a Taco Bueno for our last meal at places we cannot get at home.

Wednesday was uneventful. Quick breafast at the hotel and over to the airport to catch our flight back home.
